I have another blog that's far more serious. I will use this to talk about pop culture, relationships, humorous observations about my life. Sometimes it will be sad, if I am sad. Maybe I'll strike a nerve and get a book deal. Ha. Fat chance.
Who am I? A 26 year old anti-racist, feminist, pro-choice, progressive, African-American, Native American, native NYCer with an Ivy League undergraduate degree and a Masters in ESOL teaching. But for the purposes of this site, I like trivia, movies, music, TV, traveling and smart women. I don't like dudes (or anyone) who mistreat or disrespect women, minorities, LGBT folks or other disadvantaged groups. We'll talk about all of that.
Why Captain Blastin? It's a long story, but Captain because I was in charge of a big trip a few years ago, and Blastin because my name is Justin and I'm Black.
Jezebel comments reveal most women apparently bawl if hair is cut incorrectly. I would note that I will change salons, be annoyed, wear a hat, do lots of things. Stop crying, adults.
